I've been thinking a bit at that window. I've been reflecting on what the past eight years have meant and mean. And the image that comes to mind like a refrain is a nautical one - a small story about a big ship, and a refugee and a sailor. It was back in the early eighties, at the height of the boat people. And the sailor was hard at work on the carrier Midway, which was patrolling the South China Sea. The sailor, like most American servicemen, was young, smart, and fiercely observant. The crew spied on the horizon a leaky little boat. And crammed inside were refugees from Indochina hoping to get to America. The Midway sent a small launch to bring them to the ship and safety. As the refugees made their way through the choppy seas, one spied the sailor on deck and stood up and called out to him. He yelled, "Hello, American sailor. Hello, freedom man."

A small moment with a big meaning, a moment the sailor, who wrote it in a letter, couldn't get out of his mind. And when I saw it, neither could I. Because that's what it was to be an American in the 1980s. We stood, again, for freedom.

About the IBO Association: First the IBO Association was The American Way Association - then, with the formation of Amway, IBO Association became the Amway Distributors Association. As the business changed and Amway matured into Alticor, Amway, Quixtar, and their sister companies, so the Association matured – we became the IBOAI (Independent Business Owners Association International).

When entrepreneurs start businesses, they usually have no one but themselves looking after their own interests, but not Independent Business Owners (Quixtar IBOs).

The minute someone becomes an IBO he also becomes a member of the Independent Business Owners Association International (IBOAI) and gains the strength of an entire organization that exists solely to pursue his business interests. The IBOAI works tirelessly to improve all the factors influencing IBOs' businesses, minimizing their risks and maximizing their opportunities.

Don Wilson Sports News: PGA's TPC

Phil Mickelson is the leader after two rounds at The Players Championship! He struggled all day on Friday but managed to stay on top of the leaderboard. We'll have to wait and see what happens today and tomorrow. Meanwhile, Tiger Woods barely made the cut. But he did in fact make the cut. I think Tiger will probably shoot some good scores over the next couple of rounds to get closer to the top...

On a day when so many crucial shots found the water, Phil Mickelson wasn't sure whether his glass was half-empty or half-full at The Players Championship.

Based on where he hit some of his tee shots Friday, he was thrilled to be in the lead.

Considering that he twice hit the flag, nearly holed out from the fairway and hit a 6-iron on the par-5 16th hole that caught the perfect bounce and stopped 6 feet away for eagle, he was disappointed his one-shot lead wasn't greater.

"Had I played well, this is a day I could have shot 3 or 4 under and pulled away," Mickelson said after an even-par 72 that put him one shot ahead of Nathan Green of Australia. "A lot of guys shot under par. Unfortunately, I wasn't one of them. But by the same token, I didn't do well enough to shoot even par. So I'll take it."

Don Wilson - Watch Your Attitude

We all have to continually work on our attitude. Having a good attitude isn't something we work on once and then it is all taken care of for the rest of our lives. It is like eating or brushing our teeth. You don't brush your teeth once and then think, "OK, I don't have to do that again!" No, we all know that we must brush our teeth a couple times every day. We are taught this as kids and reminded every time we go to the Dentist!

But we must always watch and keep our attitude in check. Kids should be taught to work on their attitude daily just like they are taught to work on or clean their teeth daily.

So attitude is important. No one likes to be around people who have a bad attitude. But people love to be around people with a great attitude. Attitude is a choice. Decide DAILY to have a great attitude that attracts people.
